Left Of Center challenge blog #34- Rick St Dennis- Something Metal

Hello there everyone! the challenge currently running over at Left Of Center Challenges is 'Something Metal' sponsored this time around by the uber talented Rick St Dennis MFA - today I have a project using The Goddess of Moonlight On Evening Fog

I made an altered Cigar box- found when I was having a clear up at my Father In laws house- with permission I stole it away to change it drastically from what it once was!

Ingredients used -
copics
Spellbinders Venetian Motifs
Spellbinders floral ovals
metal flowers
samaflora tiny roses in pastel blue
distress ink in vintage photo
gesso
frantage in shabby white and aged rose
papermania oyster blush and madame payrauds papers
pearl  drop strand
embossing powder in gold and copper
distress ink peacock feathers
lace

the image alone was hours of colouring- I am usually fairly scared of pleats but I think these worked very well here!

I hope you have time to join in the challenge and go over and check out the other members of the design teams projects- as always some fantastic projects on offer!

  1. Rachel, you did a fabulous job on the pleats. She really is beautiful. The entire box is a work of art with the lovely aging, beautiful inside, and the drop pearl trim. The frantage and framing of this stunning image are wonderful details! Love it!
