Challenge #27 at the Left Of Center Blog: - Delicious Doodles - Favourite book

This time round I have chosen to use La Rosa Muerta from Delicious Doodles, and as the theme is -Favourite Book, I chose 'Queen of the Damned' By Ann Rice as my inspiration...
I made a book card following a tutorial on Cat's Blog

To make the book, I used 280 gsm black cardstock for the pages, and a thicker onyx shine cardstock for the cover, from Anna Marie Designs. the black papers are from the papermania bexley Black collection
and the red paper came in a mixed craft bag I got some time ago.
the frame, fleur de lis strip and medallions are Sizzix die cuts, and the medalions have vintage brads in the middle.
I used my promarkers to colour the image, and peel offs to finish the corners. the sticker on the spine was one out of a packet given to me, and the title of the book was printed on pearlescent card and then antiqued with vintage photo stain.

I hope you like it, I am more than slightly in love with it!
